(1) High purity: Nooglutyl preparation can obtain high-purity products through natural extraction and fine manufacturing process. High purity means better bioavailability and fewer adverse reactions. (2) Safety: Nooglutyl is a natural product that has been proven to be safe to humans. Within the dosage range, it has no toxicity or side effects. (3) Stability: Nooglutyl preparation has good stability and can maintain its activity and effect under different environmental and storage conditions. (4) Easy to absorb: Nooglutyl preparation can be quickly absorbed by the human body, enter the blood circulation through the intestinal tract, and distribute to different tissues and organs.Nooglutyl is a nootropic agent being studied at the Research Institute of Pharmacology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences as a potential treatment for amnesia. In animal models, it has a variety of central nervous system effects.Experiments on rats demonstrate that nooglutyl exhibits pronounced vestibular-protective properties and by its antimotion activity does not rank below classic vestibular protectors, such as scopolamine and diprazine. Electrophysiological experiments on cats show that nooglutyl alters spontaneous activity in 80% of cortical neurons (somatosensory zone I and area 5 of the parietal association cortex) and considerably weakens effects caused by motion sickness: activation of single unit activity of somatosensory zone I and inhibition of neuron responses to somatic stimulation. This property of the preparation is believed to form the basis of its antimotion effect. The neuroprotective properties of the positive modulator of AMPA subtype of glutamatergic receptors Nooglutyl (N-(5-oxynicotinoyl)L-glutamic acid)-the agent with nootropic and anti-hypoxic activities, were studied in the models of intracerebral post- traumatic hematoma(hemorrhagic stroke,HS)and occlusion of the middle cerebral artery (ischemic stroke)in rats. Nooglutyl at a dose of 10 mg/kg diminished HS-induced neurological deficit, movement coordination disturbances improved the memory in conditioned passive avoidance task and increased the survival in HS model. The volume of ischemic damage caused by the occlusion of distal fragments of the left middle cerebral artery (OMCA)was shown to be 22.51% of ipsilateral hemisphere volume in the saline treated rats. Mexidol at adose of 50 mg/kg injected i.v. during OMCA diminished the volume of the damage up to 6.5%. These findings suggest the neuroprotective profile of Nooglutyl action.
